Warm fires on the road, February 13, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Fire Sense New Frontier LPG Stainless Steel Campfire with Stainless Steel Lid (Lawn & Patio) This product was once manufactured and sold by a small company that catered to the RV world of consumers. It was significantly higher priced and sought after by many RV'ers that wished to have a campfire in just about any environment. In fact my first introduction to one was in the parking lot of a Cummins dealer in Oregon. We met a fellow RV neighbor in the overnight parking area as we awaited service the next day. As the night became cooler, he brought out his stainless steel campfire and several of us sat around and enjoyed a wonderful evening under the stars with the warmth of a nice clean fire.
Since that time I have watched for a good price on one and found this product on Amazon. I immediately ordered it with the intent of using it at home on the dock as well as on the road in our RV.
The firepit is quite well made in some respects but the quality and thickness of the stainless steel is somewhat suspect. I believe it is made somewhere like China now. It is... Read more
